Yall! Stop buying the frozen dinners! First, because homemade tastes way too good to ruin it with the frozen stuff. Second, it's poison in a heat safe tray. Wanna know why the country is full of health issues, inflammation, and mental issues? It all leads back to your gut. Your gut is in fact your second brain, and if your gut isn't healthy, neither is the rest of you. Feeding it poison will only create a miserable life! Let's change that! The main way to do it is by being in the kitchen more and learning! It can be intimidating at first, but that's why I'm here!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 onions, diced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
1 Grass Fed beef bouillon powder
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 1/2 pounds 85/15 ground beef
2 eggs
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 pound mushrooms
1/2 cup flour
4 cups beef stock
Directions:
In a frying pan heat olive oil, add onions, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently to caramelize the onions. Add garlic, thyme, beef bouillon cube, water, Worcestershire sauce, and Kitchen Bouquet. Cook for an additional minute. Turn off heat and let completely cool. In a large mixing bowl add ground beef, onion mixture, eggs and bread crumbs. Gently mix together. Form into oval shape loaves and fry off in pan. Add pound sliced mushrooms and cook until soft. Add 1/2 cup flour cooking for about a minute. Add 4 cup beef stock and bring to simmer. Return meat to pan and cook with sauce on low for 20-30 minutes. Serve with you favorite sides. We love it with Mashed potatoes, and green beans and bacon.
